According to the White House, American automaker Ford Motor Company has received a loan of $250 million (£158 million) from the U.S. Export-Import Bank. The $3.1 billion in the entire loan amount will enable Ford to sell the 200,000 units of US-manufactured Ford vehicles in Canada and Mexico and double the company’s exports towards the next five years.

This is good news of all the U.S. manufacturers despite of what industry they are in. The low interest loans of the U.S. Export-Import Bank can help them drive export deals upward. During half of the fiscal year 2010 the U.S. Export-Import Bank has already loaned out around $17.4 billion.

The announcement of Ford’s loan took place when President Barack Obama visited Ford’s plant in Chicago, Illinois where the famed 2010 Ford Explorer is set to be assembled in the later part of the year. The Ford Plant in Chicago is also set to give employment to almost 1,200 people. The automaker has been able to retool their assembly plant using the $5.9 billion in low interest loans that the U.S. Department of Energy granted to them. The president aims to increase the manufacturing jobs in the United States by doubling their exports in the next five years.

Obama also visited the Chrysler and General Motors who was granted most of the $85 billion (£53.6 billion) from Obama’s administration as well as that of George W. Bush. According to Obama, these companies would have succumbed to bankruptcy if not for the aid that was given to them.

Why would you not get a free Auto Insurance Quote right now? Think about it: it takes just
a few minutes, it's absolutely free, it can save you hundreds of dollars per year (sometimes even thousand) and you might even be able to get better coverage! Why not? No reason!

However, when you compare the 2010 Ford Mustang GT to any other car of its class, there might be a few things wrong with it. However, that does not mean that you need to diss it all of the time or completely break it down right? The 2010 Ford Mustang GT is a car that was designed to be fast, be pretty and certainly be one of the most stylish cars out there.

So haters? Knock it off, the 2010 Ford Mustang GT is here to stay and I am very, very glad about that!

It bested a very strong field of 14 cars in one of the most coveted car shows in the US.

The show was traditionally held in Oakland but was moved to Pomona in 2003. Through the years, hot rods have never failed to please crowds and this year was the biggest ever—with the biggest crowd and highest number of entries.

Car enthusiasts trooped to the venue to see the AMBR or what it America’s Most Beautiful Roadster. The winner of this category is similar to winning the Nobel Prize or the gold medal in the Olympics for hot rods.

The list of cars is trimmed down. This year 700 cars were judged and only over a dozen competed for the honor of the AMBR.

The competition has always been stiff and all hot rod entries are note worthy.

Rou Brizio’s set up of the Ford Roadster installed with a V12 Ferrari engine had both brute force and understated elegance and everyone is all praise for the San Francisco auto jewel.Chuck Lombardo’s entry was an English inspired Jaguar V8 installed in an S- Type R.

Roger O’ Dell mixed some inspirations from different eras to highlight his 1935 Ford roadster.

The Willet’s roadster which won the AMBR was all beauty as it spiced up the car with inspirations from the 1950’s sports car. A 600 horsepower Viper engine powered the trophy winner.

They ask. Total Performance Inc. has the answer. With its Pit Viper Mustang, the company will take the market back to the Mustang fever with installations ready for the future.

A 1967-68 Mustang, the Pit Viper is developed from an original, not cloned one, fastback Mustang. It has a 4-barrel carburetor containing ram air. This is why it has a 580 horsepower, 427 cubic inch, 540-lb-ft V8 sucking air and fuel.

The Pit Viper’s 6-manual transmission facilitates power transfer to its wheels. With a variety of higher installations, the recent upgrades such as the Supertrap dual side exhaust and coilover shocks have far improved its performance. It also has fourteen inch Baer brakes.

The package isn’t complete without the future-oriented performing wheels. The Pit Viper has rear wheels of 20 inch (HRE brand). Its front wheels have 19 inch with tires from Michelin Pilot Sport.
A classic look but features performance that can definitely keep up with the present, Pit Viper looks all good with its shiny look that maintained its classy style. It is made possible by the boutique builder, Wichita, Kan—in charge of the monsters such as the RCR Camaro.

Brook Phillips, president of Total Performance Inc., announced to the market that they can have custom Mustangs built at a range of $150,000 -$200,000. This is great news to all who have been on the lookout for great, custom-made Mustangs. The good deal with this is that higher performance is a guarantee.

(For those expecting Dodge Viper news — sorry — check out the Dodge Viper Resource!)

Record plunge in sales and tight cash flow situation, big car manufacturers like GM, Ford, and Chrysler are pleading for help from the US federal government. They need billions more in addition to the $25 billion loan to build more fuel efficient cars.

Democrats in Congress are pushing for a bill that will release a $25 billion loan for the big car companies in exchange that they will give the government ownership stakes. They are hoping for the fast passage of the auto bail out bill.

The plan is to get a chunk from the $700 billion allocated for the Wall Street life line to help the big car manufacturers. The White House has declared that it is open to the idea. President-elect Obama calls for more help to be given to the soul of US manufacturing.

The additional help from the government still needs to pass a lot of road blocks. Car makers are crossing their fingers that it will not be derailed if it goes through the Senate. They are also hoping that the aid will still be able to reach them in time so the industry will be able to survive.

Some politicians are gearing towards hastening for the release of the $25 billion fund for car makers to develop more fuel efficient vehicles. Other lawmakers are thinking of rescue plans going beyond the big three car front liners.

Both Democrats and Republicans also realize that the bail out plan for the auto industry must be planned well so it will benefit both car manufacturers and car buyers.
