Ford Receives $250 million Loan from U.S. Export-Import Bank

FordAccording to the White House, American automaker Ford Motor Company has received a loan of $250 million (£158 million) from the U.S. Export-Import Bank.  The $3.1 billion in the entire loan amount will enable Ford to sell the 200,000 units of US-manufactured Ford vehicles in Canada and Mexico and double the company’s exports towards the next five years.

This is good news of all the U.S. manufacturers despite of what industry they are in.  The low interest loans of the U.S. Export-Import Bank can help them drive export deals upward.  During half of the fiscal year 2010 the U.S. Export-Import Bank has already loaned out around $17.4 billion.

The announcement of Ford’s loan took place when President Barack Obama visited Ford’s plant in Chicago, Illinois where the famed 2010 Ford Explorer is set to be assembled in the later part of the year.  The Ford Plant in Chicago is also set to give employment to almost 1,200 people. The automaker has been able to retool their assembly plant using the $5.9 billion in low interest loans that the U.S. Department of Energy granted to them.  The president aims to increase the manufacturing jobs in the United States by doubling their exports in the next five years.

The 2010 Ford Mustang GT … There Has Been Word!

2010 Ford Mustang GT In this word, there is a hell of a lot of talk about the 2010 Ford Mustang GT.  This is a car that is not only one of the fastest on the market, but people are constantly – and I do mean constantly putting it down.  They do not like how it looks, how it feels, how it overall performs.  You know what I think?  I think that the people who can afford the 2010 Ford Mustang GT – love it.

However, when you compare the 2010 Ford Mustang GT to any other car of its class, there might be a few things wrong with it.  However, that does not mean that you need to diss it all of the time or completely break it down right?  The 2010 Ford Mustang GT is a car that was designed to be fast, be pretty and certainly be one of the most stylish cars out there.

So haters?  Knock it off, the 2010 Ford Mustang GT is here to stay and I am very, very glad about that!

Cars We Should have not Written a Check for

There are cars that are worth paying until the last piece of screw but there are just some vehicles that might just have been a waste of time, effort, and money.

Hare is a list of some cars that we think we should have never brought to our garages:

Isuzu VehiCROSS 1999 - The Japanese car manufacturer has undoubtedly a superior off road vehicle design but the goggle eyes and the corrugated doors made of steel are big architectural mishaps.

Pontiac Aztek 2001 – We are not sure if the General’s design team talked about coming up with this camel looking car. The looks are plain ugly and a big turn off from writing a check.

Buick Riviera 1995 – Consumers were turned off by the odd looking rounded design like it will warp through the black matter of space. It was better of to the deep where corals can grow on it.

Suzuki X-90 1996 – It looks like a toy. Not a great toy though. A 3 year old might mistaken it for a pullback car when seen in the garage.
